10 Free Agents Impact Wrestling Should Really Sign
3. Kimber Lee
WWE developmental life didn't suit Kimber Lee. As Abbey Laith, she was with the company for close to two years, and featured in last year's Mae Young Classic, but was unable to make an NXT breakthrough. Making television just four times while under contract, she was eventually released in March 2018, and has since mounted a successful return to the independent circuit on which she originally made her name, leaping back into promotions like CHIKARA and SHINE as if she'd never been away.
This is one WWE castoff that makes sense for Impact. The Knockouts division needs bolstering, and with McMahon hoovering up hordes of new talent for the 2018 MYC, options are scarce. Fortunately, Kimber Lee remains a standout performer. She didn't get a chance to show it in NXT, but she's a versatile, adaptable worker capable of having a good bout with any opponent, making her a great foilt for anyone among the current crop.
Though Impact put faith in their Knockouts years before WWE's supposed "Revolution," a deep division is now more essential than ever. Kimber Lee has everything required to become a centrepiece.
