4. PCO

Older WWE fans may remember him better as Quebecer Pierre or Jean-Pierre Lafitte (an underrated midcard favourite throughout the '90s), but PCO is currently tearing up the American independents in one of the most unlikely comeback stories in years.

The 50-year-old originally retired in 2011, but returned five years later. Fuelled by newfound fire, he set out to re-establish himself in his native Quebec, and started making a real splash earlier this year, with Joey Janela booking him to face Austrian wunderkind WALTER over WrestleMania weekend. A bizarre series of promo videos went viral. Suddenly, PCO became a sensation, and he's everywhere at the moment, with a forthcoming appearance in PWG's Battle Of Los Angeles tournament set to highlight his resurgent year.

PCO's age should limit his mileage, but the man's a lunatic. WALTER literally chopped his chest raw in New Orleans. In one training video, he lets sidekick Desto electrocute him with dangling a 200lb weight from his mouth. Somehow, he's still able to pull off mad sh*t like this too. The list goes on.

The nostalgic spectacle he brings is unmatched, and in signing PCO, Impact would be capturing the viral heart of modern American wrestling.
