10 Genius Ways WWE Stars Recovered From Absolute Disaster

7. The Miz

Disaster: Look at The Miz's face on the left hand side of that comparison pic above. The dude in the fedora hat totally lacked any confidence in his own abilities. He was a WWE video game CAW who existed only for others to laugh at. Fans, peers and everyone in between did.

Miz was a laughing stock, wasn't allowed to get changed in the same locker room as other wrestlers and has even told in interviews how he was forced to use the same restroom as fans. When he wasn't peeing next to those he was entertaining, Miz was making a fool of himself by botching Diva Search segments.

How He Recovered: If WWE ever hand out an award for sheer determination, it should go to Mike Mizanin. His unwillingness to wave the white flag when such behaviour would've been excusable has impressed everyone, including those who once made him sh*t with the marks.

Miz worked himself tirelessly to become the kind of all-round performer Vince McMahon loves rather than focusing on what so-called "smart" wrestling fans thought or cowing to peer pressure. By identifying the right person to affect, he became a made man.
