10. The Insiders vs. The Perfect Event (Starrcade - December, 2000)
It was obvious for any fans watching WCW during the final year of the promotion's existence that management were incredibly high on The Natural Born Thrillers. Each member was hand picked, with the idea that they'd be received better by fans as a collective, rather than individually, and there were top plans for guys like Chuck Palumbo, Shawn Stasiak, Mark Jindrak and Sean O'Haire. Forming one of the faction's tag-teams, Palumbo and Stasiak were known as The Perfect Event, and battled the team of Kevin Nash and DDP at the last ever Starrcade in December, 2000. When working as a tag-team, DDP and Nash dubbed themselves The Insiders, as a nod to Nash's former partner, Scott Hall (Nash and Hall were called The Outsiders). http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4kl33_insiders-vs-perfect-event_sport By late-2000, Nash and DDP were tasked with beating Stasiak and Palumbo for the WCW Tag-Team Titles, but also helping elevate them in the eyes of the fans at the same time. The Insiders would be the ones to go over at Starrcade, but it was fascinating to see someone like Nash selling so heavily for his younger peers, and this tag match was a sleeper hit.
