8. Rick Steiner vs. Dustin Rhodes (Superbrawl Revenge - February, 2001)
The 2001 Pay-Per-View Superbrawl Revenge, taking place in February, was WCW's second last supershow. One of the featured bouts on the show was a match for the United States Title, pitting the champion Rick Steiner against his challenger, Goldust. It's safe to say that there were few fans expecting anything other than a bog-standard match, but on this occasion it appears that both guys were motivated to give the paying customer some bang for their buck. Indeed, this was one of the best bouts wrestling fans had seen from either guy in years. Steiner, for his part, was better known as a tag wrestler with his brother, Scott, whereas Dustin had been through a lot of personal problems throughout the latter years of the 90's. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4l3no_dustin-rhodes-vs-rick-steiner-u-s-t_sport Featuring a nifty ending, which saw Steiner drop Rhodes on an exposed turnbuckle, before adding that little extra heel touch of putting his feet on the ropes during the pin, the match went over well with the live crowd, and enabled both men to continue their feud.
