10 Great Wrestlers Who Were Only In One WWE Royal Rumble

1. Vince McMahon (1999)

Big John Studd and Vince McMahon are the only Royal Rumble participants with 100% records, having both won the only over-the-top battle royals they had appeared in.

The circumstances couldn't have been more different. While Studd's victory came long before the Rumble's lustre had been built to point it was considered one of the year's biggest attractions, Vince was there when it actually meant something. Studd won it what felt like a deserved reward for a loyal serviceman; McMahon took it as a means of furthering his feud with 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, having already placed a $100,000 bounty on his rival's head.

The WWE chairman ended up not needing to dip into his pockets. Though commissioner Shawn Michaels had forced him to enter second, and Vince was obliterated by Austin from the first bell, a distraction from The Rock allowed the destroyed McMahon to put Austin over the top rope and score an inexplicable Rumble win. He ended up passing on his guaranteed World Title shot, which 'Stone Cold' inherited before winning the belt at WrestleMania XV. Unlucky, Vince.
