Since his arrival in 1995, Triple H has competed at 14 SummerSlam events. He has entered as champion and challenger, competed in cage and ladder matches, and solidified his legacy as one of the greatest Superstars of his generation.

In 1998, the then-leader of D-Generation X overcame what would later be revealed to be a significant knee injury to defeat The Rock for the Intercontinental Championship in one of the more overlooked and underappreciated ladder matches in WWE history. The victory brought an end to the red-hot D-X vs. The Nation storyline that engulfed the summer months.

By the time 2002 arrived, 'The Game' had spent three years atop WWE and was one of the most powerful Superstars on- and off-screen. That year, he battled longtime best friend Shawn Michaels in an Unsanctioned Street Fight that not only ranks as a legitimate five-star classic but also sparked HBK's previously unfathomable comeback story.

From his first appearance at the event in '95 to his final in-ring performance at the event in 2012 as an authority figure foil for Brock Lesnar, Triple H's career can be tracked through his activity at the event.
