10 Greatest Tag-Teams WWE Missed Out On

5. The Hollywood Blonds

It'd be untrue to claim that WWE 'missed out' on the best of Steve Austin, but they definitely missed the boat when it came to Brian Pillman. Injuries were to blame there, Pillman was a shadow of the performer he had once been when he signed for the then-WWF in 1996.

Back in January, 1993, Austin and Pillman had been shoved together by WCW management. The writing team had nothing for them as individuals, which meant they were going to have to learn how to work as a team. Thankfully, they developed a close bond and became one of the best teams in wrestling as The Hollywood Blonds.

Austin and Pillman were only together as a team for around 10 months, a criminally short period of time for such a well-oiled unit. Around the same time, the top heel team in the WWF was Money Inc (Ted DiBiase and IRS).

Whilst a good team, they weren't as dynamic inside the ring as The Blonds. Austin and Pillman would have been tremendous in the WWF, even if Austin would later go on to become the biggest star in the industry as a singles performer anyway.
