4. Chris Jericho: "I'm From Winnipeg You Idiot"

In his book €˜the Best In The World: At What I Have No Idea€™, Jericho confirms that the two promos and expressions that people remember more than any others in his long and illustrious career are his €˜armbar€™ promo and this random comeback at a fan who insulted him: According to his book, a fan tried to insult Jericho by telling him to, €œGo back to Toronto€. Now, normally this wouldn€™t be much of an insult, as Jericho has heard far worse over the course of his career. But, something about the match he was in and the nature of the insult that convinced him to at least say something. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o77NwC2TLR8 The match was a Triple Threat Match between Chris Jericho, the Big Show and the Undertaker, and it was for €˜Taker€™s World Heavyweight Championship. Jericho said that, because of it being a match with the Undertaker, the stakes had already been raised, and he was feeling the pressure of facing off against such a legendary opponent. Furthermore, to Jericho, insinuating that being a Canadian is an insult irritated him somewhat, considering how well Canada and the United States get along. That€™s why he fired that phrase back at the fan as he was shoving Undertaker back into the ring. It€™s just one of those random bits of humor that somehow become bigger than they€™re supposed to be. Jericho has been told about the expression countless times since he first said it, and many wrestling fans have made jokes about it on wrestling forums. From its simplicity, to the timing, to how Jericho delivered it, it€™s not surprising that fans love this one.
