When WWE gave up trying to make Apartheid an ongoing concern in 1997, they were left with both a set of hideous green shirts and red berets, and a quartet of inconsequential performers they didn't know what to do with.
Luckily for Robert Maillet, he was (and continues to be) seven entire feet tall, so the company made sure to find a suitably large place for him on the card. As the faction was in the process of disbanding, their enormous Interrogator gradually began using a new name - Kurrgan - before he transitioned into a singles run as a gruesome monster.
Who did his mother name him after? For some reason, she chose Clancy Brown's character from 1986 fantasy flick Highlander: the supposedly immortal Kurgan.
