10 Huge Wrestling Matches That Were Put On The Scrap Heap

7. Kevin Nash vs. CM Punk (Night Of Champions 2011)

Laughing at the ridiculousness of it all, Kevin Nash still can't believe that he was booked to face Triple H in a Ladder Match at the TLC Pay-Per-View in 2011. A few months earlier, Nash had been tentatively scheduled to face CM Punk, a man he effectively cost the WWE Championship at Summerslam. Appearing out of nowhere, Nash hit Punk with his patented Jackknife Powerbomb, allowing Alberto Del Rio to cash in his Money In The Bank privileges. This was supposed to be lead to Nash vs. Punk at the Night Of Champions show in September, but health concerns would stop the bout from going down. Replacing Nash, Triple H filled the vacant slot, and it appears that WWE medical staff weren't wholly satisfied with the health of Nash's heart. The big man's father passed away from heart complications aged only 36, and Nash himself is on medication to regulate the muscle, but who knows what kind of spectacle Nash vs. Punk would have been.
