5. Okada Defends His Wrestle Kingdom Match Contract Against Ibushi
Unless Kota Ibushi has anything to say about that.
As we discussed earlier, high profile victories in the G1 earn those victors matches for prizes down the line, including the G1 winner's prize. After winning the G1, Okada must defend his right to challenge the champion at the Tokyo Dome against anyone who may have a claim on it (such as those who defeated him in the G1). If, in this scenario, Kota Ibushi has a win over Okada, he would be in line to challenge him.
Ideally, the night where Okada defends his contract against Ibushi should also be the night where Naito unseats Omega as champ. It would set up a good story throughout the show: with Okada and Naito destined to meet once again in the Tokyo Dome, how are the Golden Lovers going to change the world? All people want is a dream match between Omega and Ibushi, and now the chance to see it in the Tokyo Dome has been lost.
Well thankfully, after losing his title, Kenny could put his eyes on a fellow Winnipegger...
