10 Incredible Stories Behind Famous Wrestling Themes

7. Brodus Clay's Music Accompanied "God" To The Ring

When the previously-menacing Brodus Clay ditched the intimidation for dance moves in early-2012, few wrestling critics knew what to make of it. The character seemed very fun-loving, but also very dated, and it was difficult to see Clay gaining traction with fans enough to make a success out of the concept. Try as he might, the 'Funkasaurus' idea only had so much upward mobility, and after only a few weeks, the whole thing already seemed like old news.

In fact, the most remarkable thing about it all was Clay's music, 'Somebody Call My Mama', which had previously been used by Ernest 'The Cat' Miller during his own WWE tenure. Miller's use of the theme wasn't the last before it was revived by Brodus Clay, and WWE actually used it several times as stock music, most notably as an entrance for "God" during the Backlash 2006 pay-per-view. Nothing more than a spotlight greeted the entrance of the deity, who was set to team with Shawn Michaels against both Vince and Shane McMahon.

Few watching will ever forget Vince's hammy dance moves which accompanied the music!
