This year, Johnny Gargano has made several appearances on WWE television. As part of the 'Dusty Rhodes Tag-Team Classic', he teamed with another potential signing, Tommaso Ciampa. Over the years, he has tried out for the promotion on numerous occasions, but has never really been snapped up. That's a shame, because as Dragon Gate and Evolve fans can attest, he's talented. Gargano also has a ready-made underdog story. As a child, he struggled with his weight, but his love of professional wrestling - and desire to be one himself - spurred him on to be healthy. That's a positive tale, one that could be spun easily into adulation for WWE. The wrestler is also world-travelled, which seems to count for something in today's industry. The problem with some involved in the WWE system is that they are never really given the opportunity to work against different styles. Gargano, due to his work in Japan and across North America and Europe, has done that. He'd provide great experience for WWE Performance Center graduates who need vital practice of working with those who have been around wrestling for years.
