The most recent 'match', the Final Deletion is the sole TNA outing that makes this list as it was arguably the most talked about match of the entire year thus far.

BROKEN Matt Hardy has been an interesting character to say the least, his obsession with "deleting" Brother Nero (aka Jeff Hardy) had lead to a match that took place in Cameron, NC at the Hardys' property line.

The match involved everything from citronella candles to fireworks, it featured everything from tree-climbing to dilapidated-boat-hiding, and it was the talk of the wrestling town.

The Final Deletion concluded when, seemingly defeated, Matt used his son, King Maxell's, still burning birthday candle to light a trail of fire that rose up to Jeff, knocking him off the giant Hardy logo structure he had been perched on.

The match generated so much buzz that the typical trendsetter in professional wrestling, WWE, found itself playing catch-up as they presented their own version of an outside-the-ring/outside-the-arena match between The New Day and The Wyatt Family at the Wyatt Family Compound. It came no where close to matching the buzz created by Matt and Jeff and it came off like a complete and desperate rip-off.

Time will tell whether the Final Deletion will be groundbreaking or just a one-off, but thus far, it's one of the best things from 2016.
