10 Insane Lengths Wrestlers Went To Get Revenge For Real
6. Dynamite Kid Incontrovertibly Proves The Concept Of Karma To Be Real
Attempting to batter the hardest and most unhinged guy in any locker room, when you yourself are hardly known as a shooter, is very much an insane length to go - but Jacques Rougeau felt he had to resort to it.
He was living a life of torment in 1988 and, to compound the misery, everybody else thought less of him for being bullied by Tom Billington. Few were going to sympathise with Rougeau publicly; the Dynamite Kid was a nasty, vindictive piece of work, which is actually a euphemistic way of saying that he was a bone-deep sociopath. As such, nobody wanted to feel the backdraft of their heat.
The heat sparked into a shoot blood feud when Jacques, seething and depressed over Kid's witless ribs, was said to have "stooged him off". Kid retaliated by knocking f*ck out of him and, whenever they next crossed paths, lording the beating over him.
Jacques took the nuclear option, and is said to have practised his revenge by placing a mattress against a wall in every motel room he stayed in for a month solid. He taught himself the art of the sucker punch, knowing he stood little chance beyond a flash stroke of luck. He'd sit there, doing nothing, and then spring up and punch it.
This paid off; Rougeau popped the Kid, and when the red mist descended and Kid was prone, he didn't stop cracking him until he was dragged off.
