10 Interesting Observations From Attending NXT TakeOver: Back To Brooklyn Live
7. Ember Moon Is The Future Of NXT
For the past few weeks, NXT has been playing vignettes hyping the upcoming debut of Ember Moon. TakeOver: Back to Brooklyn played host to her first TV match, pitting her against Billie Kay, who's scored a few wins over the past couple of weeks.
Billie Kay is a decent hand, but Moon was incredible in her introduction. The match was less than five minutes long, but she hit some awesome high-risk moves, including an inside springboard into a crossbody and a cartwheel splash. The most impressive part of the match was the finish, as Moon jumped off the top rope, twisted in the air, and caught Kay with a Stunner on the way down.
Ever since the Divas' Revolution, Asuka and Bayley have been doing the lion's share of the work in the NXT women's division, but new talent is needed - especially since Bayley will probably be heading up to the main roster soon. It looks like Moon can be the division's new star, and she'll probably be the woman to unseat Asuka.
