10 Lamest WWE Pay Per View Concepts Ever

6. In Your House (1995-97)

The events themselves were usually fine, and were basically treated like two-hour pay editions of Saturday Night's Main Event, where the entire roster wouldn't necessarily be featured. That was an important distinction, because WWE's bloating of the pay-per-view calendar is arguably a reason why the company drowns in its own excess to this day - a fear of scaling back. What earns In Your House its place on this list was the concept of the original show - one lucky fan was actually going to win a new house. Think about that: the expanded pay-per-view calendar was borne not only of WWE's desire to keep lockstep with WCW, but used a free-house giveaway as a justification for fans to buy the events. They only ran the promotion once, but the name still stuck.
