Brock Lesnar kicked off a 500-day Universal Championship reign by finally beating Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 in a short, violent match that was literally all action.

Lesnar celebrated by taking the title and going on holiday for three-plus months, only returning to defend the strap against Samoa Joe at the worst-named PPV of the past decade, Great Balls of Fire. Literally one-fifth of Brock’s record-setting title reign right out of the gate was eaten up by him not defending the title.
