It seems to be a pretty safe bet that if Brock Lesnar is holding a world title during the fall and winter season, he’s hibernating and not putting the title up for grabs very often.

In this case, Lesnar defeated Rey Mysterio at Survivor Series 2019, then wouldn’t defend the title again until he squashed Ricochet at Super ShowDown 2020 more than three months later. In between, he entered the Royal Rumble at #1 and bounced half the field until Drew McIntyre eliminated him en route to winning the Rumble and then dethroning Brock at WrestleMania 36.

While McIntyre slaying the Beast was seen as a big moment for him, Brock once again absconding with the world title made it feel more like Drew had liberated it than beating a final boss.
