10 Longest WWE Hardcore Title Reigns Ever

9. Rhyno - 34 Days

919642

Rhyno, or the Man-Beast as his parents might lovingly call him, comes in at ninth on this list, also with his first reign. In order to begin his awe-inspiring 34-day run as champion Rhyno had to overcome a slightly tougher challenge than Steve Blackman (no disrespect to Mr Blackman) in the shape of Kane. This took place on Smackdown on April 17th 2001. Rhyno had only been with the company a month at this time.

Rhyno's championship reign came to an end just over a month later on an episode of Raw on May 21st, when Big Show defeated him for the title. Of course, this was the Hardcore Championship, so the following week Rhyno began his second reign after besting Chris Jericho for the title. Jericho had won the belt on the very same episode.

Rhyno would hold the Hardcore title three times in total for a combined run of 49 days.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
