10 Mae Young Classic Wrestlers WWE Must Sign

5. Piper Niven

Piper Niven has emerged as one of the Mae Young Classic's biggest breakout stars. While everybody knew the likes of Kairi Sane and Mia Yim were potential megastars ahead of the tournament, Niven's name was rarely mentioned as a standout. She has since charged out of the gates to impress anyone who's been paying attention, outshining some of the tourney's bigger names in the process.

It's easy to draw comparisons with current main roster wrestlers Tamina and Nia Jax, but Niven is a far more compelling performer. Yes, power moves are her bread and butter, but she's far from one dimensional and projects a stronger sense of character than most in the tournament. Throw her natural charisma and inherent likeability into the mix, and you're left with a wrestler whose talents demand a bigger spotlight.

She's still only 26 years old, but Niven has been wrestling since 2008, acquiring a wealth of experience around Europe and beyond. Currently on tour with Japan's celebrated Stardom promotion, Piper will be back in America for the MYC's live final show on 12 September, and there's a great chance we'll see her in a WWE ring again after that.
