10 Major Mistakes WWE Has Made In 2021
1. Releasing HUGE Stars
Throughout 2021, there have been some puzzling releases from WWE. From backstage/corporate employees to onscreen NXT talent, WWE have been relentless in terms of cutting talent. However, this may not be a good thing in the long run.
As mentioned previously, WWE have not created any new main event stars in recent years. So why on earth would they release two of their biggest stars in one fell swoop? Firstly, Braun Strowman was released in June 2021, following a cracking match for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania Backlash.
Braun was never the best in the ring, but there's no doubt he wasn't a top star for the company. His feud with Roman Reigns remains a highlight, and he has proven that he can develop as a wrestler, becoming one of the more agile big men in WWE.
Following his release, Bray Wyatt was also let go by the company. There is little more to be said on the release of Wyatt, other than the anticipation. There were theories floating around about when Bray might make his return. This ultimately amounted to nothing.
With a current lack of top draws, this decision was mind-boggling. Who else is left for WWE to rely on?
