10 Major Shocks We Could See At Survivor Series 2014

8. Randy Orton Sticks With The Authority

Everyone was excited for Randy Orton's pending heel turn in 2013 because he had long overstayed his welcome as a babyface. The execution of it all was excellent because both Orton and Triple H turned at the same time at SummerSlam 2013, but Orton was never the same from that point forward. His alliance with The Authority has turned him into the cowardly heel and not the ruthless heel fans came to love in 2008-2009. Though he reigned as WWE World Heavyweight champion from late 2013 to the spring of 2014, he lost most of his matches and needed help from The Authority in each of his title defenses. Orton hadn't done much of importance up until Night of Champions, but following his clean victory over a departing Chris Jericho, The Viper got his mojo back. The seeds were planted for an Orton face turn after he teased tension with The Authority, and after weeks of brawling with stablemate Seth Rollins, Orton was exiled from the faction on the November 3 Raw. Though he currently isn't advertised to appear at Survivor Series in his hometown of St. Louis, it's a foregone conclusion he'll show up to cost Team Authority their match. But what if he stuck with them instead? It'd be the swerve of the century, and while it wouldn't be the wisest move to make, WWE has done far stupider things in the past.
