10 Memorable WWE Matches From Forgettable Pay-Per-Views

6. Kevin Owens Vs. John Cena (Elimination Chamber 2015)

Whatever anyone tells you, Elimination Chamber 2015 was put on entirely to sell the WWE Network.

The show usually took place in February, but this event took place in May, coincidentally when the WWE were running a "one month's free subscription" deal for the Network. Curious.

The two chamber matches on the show were for the Intercontinental and Tag Team Championships respectively and were both terrible. They easily rank among the worst and sloppiest Chamber matches ever and both have, thankfully, been forgotten.

But all of this can be forgiven, because this is the night on which Kevin Owens, in his very first main roster match, pinned John Cena clean.

Owens, who had shown up on Raw a few weeks prior to attack Cena, was the NXT Champion at the time and was pulling double duty across both shows. Equally, Cena was the United States Champion, so there was a lot of gold involved in this match.

The match is excellent and definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it, but its the result that matters the most. A debuting star getting put over the biggest star in the company, one of the biggest in company history, is insane and shows just how highly WWE regarded Owens' potential.

Whilst he may have fallen by the wayside since then, this was still an amazing moment for Owens and will go down as one of the best debuts in WWE history.
