10 Misused WWE Wrestlers Who Got Released And STILL Struggled
2. Enzo Amore
Enzo Amore was an utterly bombastic and loud performer, who was well-appreciated by fans, but not so much behind the scenes. His outlandish on-screen persona turned out to be true to life, as he had a remarkable ability to aggravate and provoke his fellow performers - just ask Simon Gotch.
The Certified G had a perfect spotlight on him, though his "misuse" came from WWE's attempt at positioning him at the head of the Cruiserweight division. He worked so much better as half of Enzo & Cass, because his loud and annoying antics were put in moderation when compared to his seven-foot-tall counterpart. Seeing him on his own and in this role was often just too much.
After Enzo Amore was fired from WWE, he attempted to pursue a career in rap music alongside some work on the independent circuit, but neither of these avenues were a success for him.
His rap career - under the name Real1 - flopped completely, with his debut album, Rosemary's Baby Pt. 1: Happy Birthday, a critical bomb in 2018. He also struggled to find any pro wrestling work, only booking five matches since departing WWE, and disappearing from Ring of Honor just as suddenly as he appeared.
