Speaking of Bound For Glory, Josh Mathews announced on commentary that evening that Impact management had made the decision to reinstate the Knockouts Tag Team Championships after seven years of them gathering dust.

The announcement was a long time in the making.

By the time we had arrived to the 24 October pay-per-view, the number of pairings made up of Knockouts was shocking. Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz, Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie, Havok and Nevaeh, Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee, and, at the time, Kylie Rae and Susie were all aligned. For the ongoing tournament, the first four of those tandems entered, with Tenille Dashwood and Alisha Edwards, Jordynne Grace and Jazz, Renee Michelle and Killer Kelly, and The Sea Stars rounding out the bracket.

As the tournament has already proven, the knockouts tandems excel when given the opportunity to do so. Now, granted, there may not be enough full-time teams for a full-on division, but that's where Impact have the chance to give indie talents exposure, or bring in legends.

Despite being eliminated in the first round, The Sea Stars pairing of Ashley Vox and Delmi Exo already have another Impact opportunity at Final Resolution vs. Havok and Nevaeh. Expect to see more of this.
