10 Moments That Defined Impact Wrestling In 2020
5. Who Shot Bravo?
When you take soap opera-esque storylines into professional wrestling, they tend to be a hit and miss situation. They require exquisite attention to ensure everything makes sense, and while this should really be the case for all wrestling story arcs, these are the ones which need that attention just a tiny bit more.
So, for the 'Who Shot Bravo' story, the company went above and beyond to make it both serious and comedic at the same time.
Tommy Dreamer, in particular, was exceptional as the detective on the case, whereas judge D'Lo Brown and members of the jury at Johnny Swinger's trial all provided entertaining skits. Of course, 'The Swing Man' was actually proven to be not guilty, as Larry D's alter ego Lawrence D admitted to the crime instead.
As good as the story was overall, it must be noted that it doesn't entirely make sense that Larry is allowed to walk free from the crime should he defeat Dreamer in their Final Resolution clash. However, since it followed a decent story structure for the majority of the time, we can pass on that judgement for the time being.
Besides, structure or not, we're not going to be forgetting about this any time soon.
