10 Monumental Decisions That Changed The Course Of Wrestling History

5. The Undertaker Breaks Elects To Break WrestleMania Streak

For a lot of fans, it's still shocking to imagine that The Undertaker's legendary WrestleMania winning streak has been broken. After 21 consecutive victories at the biggest show on the wrestling calendar, Undertaker was unthinkably pinned by Brock Lesnar at 'Mania XXX, ending one of the most important angles that WWE had going into the show each year. People may claim otherwise, but nobody saw this one coming, it was simply impossible to picture The Deadman coming up short at WrestleMania. It was generally regarded that the ship had sailed on WWE having their longest running star lose at their flagship event, it would have surely happened before 2014. No, Brock Lesnar was the man chosen to lay waste to such a historic achievement, and people were left stunned. Jaws agape, fans at ringside and around the world couldn't fathom what they'd just been witness to, and Lesnar instantly raised his stock by beating The Undertaker. It seems safe to say that this was Mark Calaway's choice, not that of anyone else, and it made for fascinating television.
