10 More Wrestling Gimmicks So Bad They Didn’t Even Make It To TV

9. The Incestuous Burchill Siblings

It's a well-known rumour that Vince McMahon supposedly pitched to be the storyline father of his daughter Stephanie's real-life unborn child. He also allegedly suggested his son Shane be the dad when his first idea was shot down.

Between this and the Beaver Cleavage storyline, it's clear that the boss has an unhealthy obsession with incest. Obviously any obsession with incest is unhealthy, but not everyone has the ability to broadcast their ideas on national television.

The closest Vince actually got to keeping it in the family was with the kayfabe Burchill siblings of Paul and Katie Lea. Paul, who had recently been a pirate on TV, was joined by his sister and the two seemed very close. Uncomfortably close.

The pair began dropping hints that they were physically involved with one another. Katie would touch her brother on the chest, Paul would say things like "what Katie wants, Katie gets". It was all really gross and was dropped as soon as WWE went PG.

That's what made them drop it? Not the fact that it was in poor taste? Jesus...

Although it was hinted at on TV, the Burchills never reached their full incestous potential.

And you know what, that's absolutely fine.
