10 More WWE Easter Eggs, References And In-Jokes You Never Noticed

6. Dookie?!

KANE UNDERTAKER SYMBOL JUDGEMENT DAY
WWE Network

Having suffered through 93 minutes of utter dross, those who bought the execrable WWE movie No Holds Barred on pay-per-view back in December 1989 were then 'treated' to a second serving of garbage, a special contest clipped from a Wrestling Challenge taping pitting Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake in a steel cage against Randy Savage and the Hulkster's movie nemesis, Zeus.

To this day, the dreadful double-header is one of the few WWE pay-per-views not yet available on the Network, which can only be considered an act of mercy.

Those who are still desperate to see Hogan's horrendous vehicle to Hollywood can find a nose-turning taster on the premiere episode of SmackDown. After being chased out of the arena by an irate Ken Shamrock, Chris Jericho's lackey is collared by the World's Most Dangerous Man. Obviously, because no debut show would be complete without it, the veteran announcer promptly cacks his kegs. The whole hilarious scatalogical skit is a cheeky reference to a similar scene in No Holds Barred, in which Hogan, after threatening a goober to the point of shashing himself, demonstrates all his acting acument with the immortal line: "Dookie?!"

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
