From a false title change to the first legitimate switch in Raw history, Sid's swindling of Bret Hart must go down as a bizarre ending - simply because fans of WWF hadn't seen anything like it before.

The WWF Championship hadn't changed hands on Raw since the show's inception in 1993, but four years later, fans saw the previously unthinkable.

Typically, the anarchy was sparked by Stone Cold Steve Austin. In the midst of a feud with Bret Hart, the Rattlesnake charged down to interfere in the main event. With Sid caught in Bret's Sharpshooter, Austin brained the champ with a steel chair and turned the tide of the match - as well as WWE history.

Watching the footage back, it's clear how gobsmacked the live audience are, and completely understandable too.
