The jackhammer is something of a two-parter in finisher terms, since it’s usually preceded by a spear (or two). With that said, Goldberg’s undefeated streaks in WCW and WWE didn’t come from nothing – fans knew that when Bill Goldberg dropped his foe to the mat with his patented suplex powerslam, there was no way they were kicking out.

This is exactly what happened at Survivor Series 2016, when Brock Lesnar ate a jackhammer and was pinned in under two minutes. Although the F-5 has received a fair amount of protection throughout the years, the jackhammer is by far the most powerful move on paper; the likes of Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, John Cena and Kurt Angle have all kicked out of the F-5.

The jackhammer, however, still retains its unstoppable aura after all these years. Hulk Hogan once kicked out the move in a Fatal Four Way match with Goldberg, DDP and Ric Flair, but that was down to a poorly timed breakup attempt from Kevin Nash. Nash didn’t make it to the ring fast enough, causing Hogan to kick out with only a fraction of a second to spare. It’s a disappointing blemish on the jackhammer’s otherwise spotless record.
