10 Most Elaborate Works In Wrestling History

9. Jeff Jarrett Attacks A Fan

To this day, you'll see people bringing up Jeff Jarrett when discussing those very real incidents where a wrestler and a fan get physical. In reality, this whole situation was merely a work that's somehow taken as a shoot to this day.

For context, this all took place prior to TNA Slammiversary 2005. There, Jarrett was amongst those - the others being Monty Brown, Abyss and Sean Waltman - due to challenge for AJ Styles' NWA World Heavyweight Title in the main event King of the Mountain contest.

Before the PPV went live, and with several roster members in and around ringside, Double J was mocked by a masked fan. After said fan accepted Jarrett's offer to get in the ring, the Chosen One - with some help from America's Most Wanted and Samoa Joe - beat the piss out of the fella.

Despite this still being viewed as a legit incident by some, the fan in question was wrestler Sal Rinauro - who has since competed for the likes of Ring of Honor and the National Wrestling Alliance - and this whole angle was done in order for Jarrett to be kayfabe arrested and miss the Slammiversary main event.

In Jeff's place, the 'suspended' Raven returned to win the King of the Mountain bout and become the new NWA World Champion.

While not exactly the most elaborates of works, it's still baffling how many people believe this one all these years later.
