10 Most Embarrassingly Bad Wrestling Promos Of All Time
7. Hulk Hogan: "The Right Gay"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7yP-T3ZCsgWhile no one would ever mistake Hulk Hogan's promo work for an artful Jake Roberts soliloquy, the big fella could always be trusted to get his point across (especially since his point was rarely more complex than threatening to punch Kamala).
As time wore on, however, promo conventions changed. Gone were the days of screaming at Mean Gene backstage, and the Hulkster found himself forced to tone things down and have actual discussions with people. Moving at a conversational pace, Hogan seems paradoxically more prone to error, none more glaring than this woeful argument with Vince McMahon, which essentially derails the entire segment.
Hogan begins tripping over his own words, attempting to start over more than once, reaching a glorious crescendo with the flub "right gay guy at the right time". McMahon's face is priceless, twisted into a mask of maybe-rage that is clearly his only alternative to outright laughter.
