Paige made the WWE Raw debut that most aspiring professional wrestlers could only dream of. The Norwich-born Diva emerged on Raw from NXT on the night after Wrestlemania XXX, apparently wishing to congratulate then-Divas Champion AJ Lee on her historic title defence at the biggest event of the year. Paige was attacked and then challenged to an impromptu title match by AJ, and the rest is history. The effect of demolishing the 295-day title reign of AJ Lee on her very first night on Raw has been widely debated among wrestling fans. Has the instant title win shot her to stardom or could it prove problematic down the line? At such a young age, Paige could be the future of the Divas division, and being brought in to the mainstream of Raw among a number of other NXT graduates should bode well for her career should WWE maintain their current commitment to youth. Paige's only pay-per-view appearance thus far has been a successful Divas Championship defence against Tamina Snuka, a very credible victory given the latter's prior casting as bodyguard for AJ Lee. Next up for Paige is a title bout against Alicia Fox, whose recent change in persona should contribute to a very interesting contest at Payback. Given her instant impact, and consequentially becoming the only diva to hold both the Divas Championship and the NXT Women's Championship at the same time, all fingers point to a lengthly run for the already popular Paige. Her path to Summerslam should culminate in a high-profile title match against an established and respected diva. The identity of that diva is not yet clear, but the smart money could be on a certain former champion...
