Few wrestlers have had a bigger impact on modern-day WWE than NXT’s Four Horsewomen. Together, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Charlotte are responsible for one of the biggest movements in women’s wrestling history. Their talents forced a huge shift in WWE’s focus, and while the “Divas’ Revolution” had its ups and downs, all four are now considered among WWE’s most respected performers.

WWE’s women are finally treated on the same level as their male counterparts, and it all started in NXT. As Ric Flair’s daughter, Charlotte always had an easy “in” to the wrestling business, but her hard work and dedication means she deserves every drop of success. Her feud with Natalya was an early NXT highlight, and one of the brand’s first women’s matches to really attract widespread attention, and as Women’s Champion, Charlotte was a dominant and assertive figurehead for the division.

She’s supremely athletic, and while not as clean and technical as some of her peers, Charlotte has become one of WWE’s most effective heels. The Natalya match remains her career-best effort, but her March 2015 showdown with Banks edges it close, and her main roster work further illustrates the dramatic improvements Charlotte is making as a performer.

Charlotte was the foundational champion on which NXT’s revered women’s division was built. For that, she’s more than earned her spot here.
