10 Most Overrated Wrestlers On PWI's Top 500 Wrestlers Of 2015

5. Wade Barrett - #20

Another wrestler to find himself lost in the mess of an Intercontinental Championship scene was Wade Barrett, yet he too has been rewarded with an obscenely high ranking. Barrett will always have fans for his dedication to every gimmick thrown his way, and the fact he always appears to be having a blast as a WWE superstar, but sadly doesn't deserve such a lofty position on the PWI 500. Barrett won the Intercontinental title at the start of 2015, but saw his reign descend into farce as various competitors stole the belt from him, including Dean Ambrose, R-Truth, Luke Harper and Stardust. He lost the title at WrestleMania, before winning the Network exclusive King of the Ring tournament. This victory could explain Barrett's high ranking, but the tournament was a strictly midcard affair, and resulted in him being saddled with the tired 'King' gimmick already used on Sheamus and Booker T in recent memory. This was Barrett's only real triumph of the year too, as he has since become something of a glorified jobber, losing an incredible percentage of is matches in the past few months.
