7. The Guitar (Honky Tonk Man & Jeff Jarrett)

WWF/WWE fans were first properly introduced to the idea of using the humble guitar as a weapon by The Honky Tonk Man. As aforementioned, Jimmy Hart rarely attacked those opposing his wrestlers. Instead, he chose to stand around ringside and berate them over the microphone. The advent of Honky's guitar gave the heel duo a physical threat.

Any good heel attempts to cheat in pro wrestling, that's just what the bad guys do. Honky Tonk Man could barely even play anything musical on the guitar; it was simply there so that he could try to bash it over a rival's head. He wasn't alone.

During the mid-1990s, Jeff Jarrett was cast as a country singer wishing to use the WWF as a launching pad to stardom. In-keeping with that gimmick, Jarrett also used a stringed instrument to attack opponents.

In typical heel fashion, this would often rebound on Honky Tonk Man and Jeff Jarrett. Nonetheless, the guitar must be considered one of the most powerful objects ever used in the company.

Jarrett was even able to continue on with the idea in WCW, proving that fans bought into the concept of painfully smashing a guitar over someone's cranium.
