Pro wrestling had always been a drama, a theater of violence filled with men that legitimately hated each other and wanted nothing more than to destroy each other. Wins and losses came based upon true athletic competition and despite what anyone thought, it was very real. All of that changed however when Vince took to the air and let the proverbial cat out of the bag. They wanted Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Degeneration-X, the company's top antiheroes became the new rage in the business and it really had nothing to do with heel and babyface. This was all about the fans respecting the Superstars as performers and embracing sports entertainment with open arms. The McMahons had hit another home run.
