10 Most Significant Women's Matches In WWE History

4. Steel Cage Match: Lita Vs. Victoria (Raw, 24/11/2003)

If booking two women in a hardcore match was WWE upping the ante, then they increased their stake 12 months later. During an episode of Raw, Lita, who was in a bizarre rivalry with both Eric Bischoff and her ex-boyfriend Matt Hardy, was placed in a steel cage match against the now completely deranged Victoria.

This was the first time that two women have ever competed in a cage match in the WWE and it was not a bad first effort by any means. A short and sweet affair saw both women take some painful looking bumps, including a cage door to the head.

Charlotte and Sasha Banks will compete in the ultimate cage match later this month at Hell in a Cell, but let's not forget about this bout, which was 13 years ahead of its time. Oh...did we forget to mention that this wasn't even for the championship?
