10 Most Stacked Cards In UFC History
1. UFC 200 (2016)
Dana White was always going to do whatever he could to make the landmark UFC 200 event a must-see PPV, but even he had to be impressed by what he managed to throw together in the end.
Despite the sudden absence of Interim Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones (due to him being suspended for a year by USADA after a doping violation) the card still managed to flaunt a ridiculous amount of top class fighters and superstars.
T.J. Dillashaw and Kelvin Gastelum both picked up victories in the prelims, but it was the main card which solidified this event as the most stacked card in the company's history.
Cain Velasquez got us underway by TKO'ing Travis Browne in the first round of their Heavyweight clash. This was then followed by a battle between two bonafide legends. Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar went at it for the Interim Featherweight title, with Aldo eventually earning the belt via unanimous decision.
The big fights just kept on coming as Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier bested (Jones' last minute replacement) Anderson Silva in a non title contest. Brock Lesnar then made a triumphant return to the Octagon with a unanimous decision victory over Mark Hunt, however that win would later be overturned to a 'no contest' due to Lesnar failing two drug tests.
Finally, Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate defended her newly won belt against Amanda Nunes in the main event and was remarkably beaten at her own game when she was tapped out by 'The Lioness' in the first round.
UFC have still not been able to duplicate an event that can rival this showcase of the titans (in terms of star power, that is) but you never know, UFC 300 might raise the bar once again in a couple of years time...
