10 Most Stacked Cards In UFC History
2. UFC 205 (2016)
If Conor McGregor's battles against Nate Diaz at UFC 196 and 202 positioned him as the company's top dog, his outclassing of Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 surely confirmed the Irishman as one of the biggest stars in all of sports.
However, UFC 205 wasn't a one fight card and the rest of the night's action more than delivered in the lead up to McGregor being crowned as the new Featherweight/Lightweight 'champ-champ'.
In the prelims, we saw both future Lightweight megastar Khabib Nurmagomedov and former Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar pick up victories against Michael Johnson and Jeremy Stephens, respectively.
Raquel Pennington then kicked off the main card action with a win over former Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate (in what would turn out to be her last MMA bout) and Yoel Romero followed this clash up by sparking out Chris Weidman in the third round of their Middleweight bout.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk then successfully defended her Strawweight belt against Karolina Kowalkiewicz, before Tyron Woodley and Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson both had to settle for a draw in their deeply tactical Welterweight title co-main event.
Add McGregor's next level main event dismantling of Lightweight Champion Alvarez to the mix and you find yourself with one of the most stacked nights in MMA history.
