10 Most Underrated WWE PPV Main Events Of The 2000s

10. Eddie Guerrero Vs. JBL Vs. Booker T Vs. The Undertaker - Armageddon 2004

JBL was an unlikely choice for WWE Champion. WWE had tried to elevate him to the main event in 2002 on Raw but abandoned the idea after a few weeks. It was clearly not working. Undeterred, WWE decided to try again in 2004 on Smackdown to cover the absence of Kurt Angle and the departure of Brock Lesnar. JBL shockingly relieved Eddie Guerrero of the championship at the Great American Bash in a bullrope match. 'Latino Heat' had cracked under the pressure of carrying the brand and was relieve to let go of the belt. For the rest of 2004 JBL feuded with The Undertaker and Booker T, inevitably retaining the title on screwy finishes. So at Armageddon 2004 Smackdown GM Teddy Long put Bradshaw in a fatal four way against the three men he had been screwing over for half the year. The match was very good. Four ways are hard to put together at the best of times but they did an admirable job here. The Eddie versus 'Taker exchanges were the best parts of the match (and the PPV for that matter). On the evidence of this match, it's a real shame that WWE didn't run with an Eddie/Undertaker programme in either 04 or 05. That would have been special.
