10 Most Underrated WWE PPV Main Events Of The 2000s
5. Brock Lesnar Vs. The Big Show - Stretcher Match (Judgement Day 2003)
With Kurt Angle on the sidelines with a serious neck injury, new Champion Lesnar was left with slim pickings as far as talent to work with on top. WWE was in a pretty sorry state in spring 2003. Judgement Day alone 'treated' fans to matches like Mr. America versus Roddy Piper and a knackered Triple H versus an equally knackered Kevin Nash. The show, minus a pretty awesome Eddie Guerrero and Tajiri versus Team Angle ladder match, had been a washout. It was up to Lesnar and Show to put on an entertaining finale and attempt to save the show. With no real history of great stretcher matches, fans didn't quite know what to expect. The two had a very inventive, hard-hitting match. Brock is such a physical specimen and it's never not fun watching him throw men the size of Show around at will. Show, to his credit, took some pretty hefty bumps, matching Lesnar every step of the way in that department. The finish was a memorable one: Lesnar disappeared towards the end of the match, allowing Rey Mysterio (who Show had injured at Backlash) a chance to come in an get revenge. Show got the upper hand on Rey when Lesnar came back into the arena driving a forklift truck. It was whacky Attitude Era, erm, era shenanigans at their finest. Lesnar used the forklift as a home-made stretcher to wheel Show out of the arena. You don't see finishes like that every day.
