10 Most Underrated WWE Promos From The Last Decade
4. Mr Kennedy's Raw Arrival
Mr. Kennedy, Ken Anderson, Ken Kennedy, Mr. Anderson - call him whatever you want, it doesn't change the fact that the man defines the word charisma. In June of 2007, Kennedy was drafted from SmackDown to Raw and given the opportunity to cut one of the majestic promos he had become known for right off the bat. While Kennedy would go on to provide two more years of verbal gold, this promo stands out due to his ability to take the initial crowd excitement and turn it into the boos every heel desires (at least they did at the time). In almost exactly one minute (keep count for yourselves on the video below, it's one of the most pointlessly satisfying things you'll ever do), the crowd goes from enthusiastically participating in the prolonged "...KENNEDY" to generating a chorus of boos as the cocky star chewed the life out of his gum and played with the fans like putty in his hands. The remainder of the promo is Mr. Kennedy at his very best, building on the instant heat, putting over a current storyline and walking out of the ring a ready-made, top Raw heel. If you weren't watching WWE at the time, it won't surprise you that the company somehow managed to screw it up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCOfeCNSxQE
Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
