10 Most Underrated WWE Stars Of The Attitude Era

7. Ivory

Long before Ivory debuted in the WWF, she was a veteran wrestler having competed all over America. She auditioned for G.L.O.W on a whim in the mid-eighties, and since then had been honing her craft against some of the best women wrestlers in the world. Ivory joined the WWF in 1999 and was immediately a different kind of Diva than fans were used to. As the division was starting to flourish, a diversity of characters was necessary and Ivory was the first woman of this new era to have no real interest in being presented as sexy or desirable, because she was here to wrestle. Ivory captured the WWF Women€™s Championship not long after debuting, but lost it to The Fabulous Moolah, who was seventy-six at the time. She went on to hold the belt twice more, and as the division got stronger with the likes of Trish Stratus and Lita, Ivory was able to have more competitive matches and show audiences how good women€™s wrestling can be. Ivory transitioned to a trainer role in the early-2000s and was one of the trainers in the second and third seasons of Tough Enough. She wrestled on the independent scene briefly, and even feuded with Natalya on the indies before retiring from the ring and starting a new career in animal daycare.
