10 New Directions For AEW After Forbidden Door 2023

9. Will Ospreay Challenging MJF?

Now wouldn't this be tasty?!

MJF has unfinished business with Adam Cole once the challenger returns from illness, but AEW can burn through that on TV rather than saving it for All In. Besides, Will Ospreay pointing a finger at Friedman and staking a claim for the World Title sounds fun after his win over Kenny Omega.

Word of warning (to echo the prior entry) though; keep that IWGP United States Title on ice and as far away from this match as possible. Ospreay vs. MJF shouldn't be title vs. title. No, it should be a UK native vying to make history by becoming AEW's first British World Champ in front of a massive crowd at Wembley Stadium.

Yes, yes this would be another speed bump/short-term feud for MJF, but what's the alternative? Cole challenging feels more like something that'll happen on a special episode of Dynamite or Collision than pay-per-view at this point.
