10 New Directions For AEW After Worlds End 2023

1. MJF Taking Time Off (Or…)

There's a mystery surrounding MJF's contractual status with AEW. He maintains that it runs out super-early in 2024, but contrasting reports online guess that he's actually inked an extension. Either way, it looks like Friedman will take some time out following the loss of his World Title to Samoa Joe.

Or, is he done?!

That cannot be overlooked either. Nobody on the outside seems to know for sure whether or not MJF will stay put in All Elite Wrestling beyond early-2024. Would it really be surprising if he was the next to jump over to WWE and live out his dreams there? The guy has achieved a ton in a relatively short space of time on the AEW side, after all.

Maybe he's ready for a new challenge. If so, Triple H and WWE will be all ears. MJF has emerged as one of the best workers in the industry since AEW's launch, and he'd be a big get for Hunter and pals. Everyone on the periphery will just have to wait and see how this one shakes out.
