10 New Directions For WWE After Backlash 2024

1. Not Before They Cost Him The Title?

It might not happen before JD and Finn conspire to cost Priest the World Title though.

WWE has two clear options with this. One, the rest of Judgment Day interferes despite being warned not to, and it backfires on them when Damian loses the belt. Two, Priest ditches his mates first then they run out to screw him over as revenge during a match against Drew McIntyre (when he's healthy). It's a nice position for creative to be in. That freedom of choice is everything.

Look at the pic above. Both McDonagh and Bálor are staring at one another, not Damian or his title. That suggests they're not necessarily interested in becoming champ themselves right now, but more that they have a mutual understanding something needs to change for Judgment Day to have a hope in hell of surviving.

There was a bit of distance between all three members too, and that wasn't a coincidence. McDonagh and Bálor locked eyes, but they barely went near Priest after he'd grabbed Finn by the jaw and threatened him. Judgment Day has been great, but the end is near.
